NOTE TO THE READERS: I know my father will not believe this, but I'm NOT the computer genius he thinks I am, so I thought I'd give you a few simple instructions about navigating through this web page.

  1. All the wonderful stories are listed below.
  2. Some stories have two pages, you'll know this by the fact that it says (Page 2) after some.
  3. To read the second page of any story, at the bottom of the first page, click the "BACK" button to come back here and then click "(Page 2)" of the story you were just reading.  You'll be given 'the rest of the story'.  After reading "Page 2" use the BACK button to return here.
  4. Remember, the "Back" button is the only way to come back here to the list of stories. Trust me, it's easier to go BACK than it is to start over at the web site.
  5. If you need help to PRINT or SAVE a story please CLICK HERE for some handy instructions.
  6. One other thought, if you open a story and it looks really far away from you (tiny script), look for a "+" icon.  This will make the page bigger (the "-" makes it smaller).
  7. IF you can't get these stories to open at all, you may need to download a FREE Adobe Acrobat READER, version 5 or newer.   You can download your free Version 9 copy here.  Adobe is SAFE and Virus Free.  It's a pretty cool FREE program!
  8. If you have trouble with this web page, I'd like to know about it and will help you IF I can.  You can email me if you wish.

Otherwise, Happy Reading!  Janne (a.k.a. volunteer 'webmaster')

Being Protected

A Simple Christmas

Taking a rough ride on a Borrowed Bike

Thoughts of the past on the day before Easter

Where are the children who played in Happy Hollow

Go with our Blessings, our prayers and our gratitude

Momma's marijuana patch

You just can't argue with a child's brand of logic

That big ol' rat was just playing possum

Independence Day revisited through eyes of history

Why is everyone so fired up about tobacco?

She's done runded off and left me alone

Before air conditioning, cool was wherever you found it

Celebrity tree big part of my childhood play

Old Cemetery is lost and almost forgotten

There is an awesome aroma of autumn in the air

Meeting history on a colorful, colonial trip

But really, Doc, it ain't broke

I can't believe they thought they could make butter better
